 The nursery is divided into various rooms, with each room having fantastic age appropriate resources to promote the best possible outcome for children of all age groups. Tortoise Room - Birth to 1 year old

Daisy Room - (1 – 2 years)
As your child grows in confidence and ability we see them progress to the next stage and our Daisy Room is equipped with toys and activities to allow your child to progress through the next stage of development. Where our qualified staff maintain a safe environment while your child explores and discovers the delights of being mobile.
Snail Room
This room allows an opportunity for a breakaway group of the older children from Daisy Room and aids transition into the Ladybird Room. It can be equipped with different activities to meet the needs of a small group and is often where you will find our soft play equipment.
Ladybird Room - (2 – 3 years)
This is the stage when children want to become more independent and here in the Ladybird Room they will be encouraged to carry out a variety of tasks and activities to enhance their learning, supported by experienced, enthusiastic staff, and as they grow in confidence they will experience wonderful learning opportunities where learning will be an enjoyable discovery, through play.
Butterfly Room - (3 to 5 years)
Welcome to our foundation stage, here we see your child grow and gain confidence through careful individual planning, as each child is supported by highly qualified staff, to work toward and achieve the early learning goals in the six areas of learning;
communication language and literacy, personal social and emotional development, problem solving reasoning and numeracy, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical development and creative development.
Garden Room
The Garden Room is a pleasant, light, bright room and doubles as a delightful dining room where all the children gather to have lunch under the supervision of qualified staff, and also as an activity area where we can explore messy play and leads, through patio doors, directly to our plus twos outdoor area.
Outside The Nursery
Our outdoors facilities are newly landscaped and include a decking area with a sunken sandpit, a climbing log, an outdoor class room and a garden area where the children can plant vegetables and grow plants. There is also a fabulous accessible water area and easily accessed equipment storage so the children can decide for themselves which activities they would like to use... in true child initiated learning!At the front of the building there is a smaller garden for the under twos, also recently landscaped, offering a quiet outside area for the babies and toddlers to explore and discover the fun of outdoor play in a calm and safe area. There is a lawned area, a tunnel and a sandpit, as well as lots of fun toys. 
Before and After School Club - (5 - 11 years)
Before School from 8.00am and we take the children to the local school on a morning or lunch time depending on the age of the children, we also collect the children at 3.15pm and bring them back to nursery where they can have a healthy and delicious afternoon tea and enjoy a wide range of activities until 6.00pm. The can relax or explore indoors or outdoors and our friendly staff are there to help them with activities, arts and crafts, computer and much much more to enjoy after a busy day at school.We also offer a Before and After School Club within St Mary's School at Long Newton, with the same high standard of care but the convenience of being on the school premises. During the school holidays we offer a Holiday Club for 5 - 11 year olds which is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm. We provide a range of activities on the premises and also outing to places of interest and local attraction as well as fun days out. |
